SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Thai Paraxylene is planning to restart its Sri Racha-based aromatics unit “in a few days” following two weeks of maintenance and debottlenecking, a company source said on Tuesday, without providing a specific date.
The debottlenecked unit will have a nameplate capacity to produce 527,000 tonnes/year of paraxylene (PX) and 259,000 tonnes/year of benzene, the source said.
The aromatics facility had a previous nameplate capacity to produce 489,000 tonnes/year of PX and 177,000 tonnes/year of benzene.
The unit was shut on 16 March.
