India’s MRPL sells H1 May loading 10,000 tonnes IX to Glencore

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--India's Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) has sold via-tender, a 10,000-tonne first-half May loading isomer-grade xylene (IX) to trading firm Glencore on 3 April, sources said on Wednesday.

The cargo with a 6-15 May laycan was sold on an ex-New Mangalore basis at a discount of $74/tonne (€56/tonne) to FOB (free on board) Korea quotes, traders said.

Officials from MRPL could not be immediately reached for comments.

MRPL last sold a second-half April 10,000-tonne parcel to a Japanese trading house at a discount of $70-75/tonne to FOB Korea quotes in end-March.
