SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Nanjing KUMHO GPRO Chemical (NKGC) plans to shut its 80,000 tonne/year propylene oxide (PO) plant at Nanjing in Jiangsu province on 17 April for 12 days of maintenance, a company source said on Thursday.

"The company will begin to reduce the operating rate of the PO plant from 14 April and completely shut it from 17 to 28 April," the source added.

In addition, the company will shut 120,000 tonne/year polyether polyol at the same site for a week during the PO maintenance, said the source, without providing a specific date.

NKGC is a 50:50 joint venture between China’s Jiangsu GPRO Group and South Korea’s Kumho Petrochemical Co (KKPC).
