BRISBANE (ICIS)--Japan’s Mitsubishi Rayon Co (MRC) is planning to restart its No 2 55,000 tonne/year methyl methacrylate (MMA) line on April 7, a company source said on Friday.

The line in Otake was shut from 1 March for maintenance, the source said.

The company, Asia's largest MMA producer, runs a No 1 55,000 tonne/year butane-based MMA line at the same site.

In addition, MRC is considering shutting its 107,000 tonne/year acetone cyanohydrin-based line in September for maintenance, the source added.
