SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China's Shanxi Guangda Coking Air Source on 10 April shut its 150,000 tonne/year methanol unit at Linfen in Shanxi province for planned maintenance, a company source said on Tuesday.

The company is planning to restart the unit on 19 April, the source said.

The turnaround is unlikely to have a major impact on the domestic methanol market because of its short duration, the source said.

Some 60% of the plant’s output is sold in Henan province, while the remainder is sold in Shandong and Hebei provinces, according to the source.
