HOUSTON (ICIS)--US propylene inventories fell by 3.5% in the first week of April along with a drop in operating rates at US refineries, data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA) showed on Wednesday.
Propylene inventories were at 3.995m bbl in the week that ended on 6 April, down from 4.140m bbl a week earlier, EIA figures showed.
US refineries operated at 83.8% of capacity that week, down from 85.7% during the week that ended on 30 March.
US refinery-grade propylene (RGP) for April traded at 71.50 cents/lb ($1,576/tonne, €1,198/tonne) on Wednesday, flat with Tuesday, but down from 72.50 cents/lb a week earlier.?xml:namespace>
