Taiwan’s Formosa Petrochemical Corp buys 125,000 tonnes naphtha

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s Formosa Petrochemical Corp (FPCC) has bought 125,000 tonnes of naphtha cargoes scheduled for delivery in the second half of May at a premium of $16.50-17.50/tonne (€12.54-13.30/tonne), several traders said on Thursday.

The identity of the sellers was not immediately known.

The sellers successful in the tender will have to deliver the cargoes to Mailiao, the traders said.

FPCC last purchased 100,000-120,000 tonnes of naphtha cargoes scheduled for delivery in the second half of April at a premium of $16-23/tonne to CFR (cost & freight) Japan quotes, in the second week of March, the traders said.
