SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korean producer Yeochun NCC (YNCC) will restart its No 2 aromatics unit, which produces benzene, toluene and solvent xylene (btx), next week following a scheduled turnaround, a company source said on Friday.

The company is expected to restart production at the Yeosu-based facility from 20 April, in line with its earlier plan, the source added.

The unit was taken offline in March for a month-long turnaround. It can produce 120,000 tonnes/year of benzene, 60,000 tonnes/year of toluene and 40,000 tonnes/year of solvent xylene.

Some of other key BTX producers in South Korea include GS Caltex and LG Chem.
