EU CX Q2 DELTA FULLY CONFIRMED AT €145
The European cyclohexane (CX) second-quarter delta contract has been fully confirmed at €145/tonne ($193/tonne), a €5/tonne increase from the first quarter. Producers had initially been targeting an increase of €10/tonne because of rising energy costs and tightening supply. Buyers had sought a rollover because of difficulties in passing costs downstream. They said that their margins are squeezed, particularly for adipic acid.
EU TDI CONTRACTS RISE FOR FOURTH MONTH
European toluene di-isocyanate (TDI) contract prices have continued their uptrend into April for the fourth month in a row, increasing €100-160/tonne ($131-210/tonne), to €2,100-2,300/tonne FD (free delivered) NWE (Northwest Europe), representing an increase of from March. TDI contract prices have risen by €320-420/tonne this year.
EU APRIL BPA CONTRACT SETTLES AT ROLLOVER
European bisphenol A (BPA) April freely negotiated contract prices have rolled over on lower feedstock benzene costs at €1,650-1,720/tonne ($2,171-2,263/tonne) FD (free delivered) NWE (Northwest Europe).
EU APRIL PHENOL FALLS WITH BENZENE
The European April phenol contract price fell by €37/tonne ($49/tonne) with the April benzene contract, settling on a pre-discounted basis at €1,454-1,494/tonne ($1,913-1,966/tonne) FD (free delivered) NWE (Northwest Europe).
US APRIL CUMENE ROLLS OVER ON FEEDSUS
April cumene contract prices rolled over from March at 65-67 cents/lb ($1,433-1,477/tonne, €1,103-1,137/tonne) FOB (free on board).
