SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Shandong Mingrui Chemical Group shut its 100,000 tonne/year diammonium phosphate (DAP) plant in Shandong province on 13 April because of weak domestic demand, a company source said on Monday.

Demand for DAP typically weakens from late April to June, the source said.

No date has been set for the plant’s restart, said the source, adding that this will depend on sales conditions.

Shandong Mingrui Chemical only sells DAP to the domestic Chinese market.
