SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Fengli Petrochemical is building a 100,000 tonne/year propylene unit at Puyang in Henan province, a company source said on Monday.
Construction of the unit, which will use heavy oil as feedstock, began in August 2011 and is expected to be completed in late 2013, the company source said.
“We have no plans to build any downstream units yet. However, as we expect to build more propylene units in the future, there is a possibility that we could invest in downstream units,” the company source added, without giving further details.
