SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Korea Petrochemical Industry Co (KPIC) will shut its 470,000 tonne/year naphtha cracker at Onsan on 22 April for mechanical repairs, a company source said on Tuesday.
The cracker is expected to resume operations on 30 April, the source said.
KPIC’s three derivative high density polyethylene (HDPE) lines in Onsan – with a combined capacity of 530,000 tonnes/year – will also be taken off line during the same period as the cracker shutdown, the source added.
