S Korea’s Honam Petrochemical postpones PP plant start-up

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Honam Petrochemical has postponed the start-up of its 200,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant at Yeosu, South Korea to 23 April, because of weak demand in China, its key market, a company source said on Tuesday.

This is the second time the start-up has been postponed, the source said.

Commercial production was originally scheduled for 9 April, before being postponed to 19 April, he said.
