SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s Yeochun NCC (YNCC) restarted its 578,000 tonne/year No 2 naphtha cracker in Yeosu on the night of 18 April following a turnaround, a company source said on Thursday.

“This morning, we got on-spec ethylene,” he said, adding that the cracker’s operating rate will be ramped up to 100% capacity within this week.

The cracker was taken off line on 20 March for maintenance.

YNCC also operates a 857,000 tonne/year No1 cracker and a 465,000 tonne/year No 3 cracker at the site.
