SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Yantai Wanhua Polyurethane said on Friday it will shut its two methylene di-p-phenylene isocyanate (MDI) units in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, for 40 days of maintenance from 1 June.

The two units will be shut until 10 July for debottlenecking, the producer said in a filing to the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

Each of the MDI units currently has a 300,000 tonne/year capacity, which will be increased to 400,000 tonnes/year after debottlenecking, said a company source.
