HOUSTON (ICIS)--DuPont began a maintenance shutdown at its Sabine River Works ethylene unit in Texas, the company said in a regulatory filing made available on Monday.

The air shutdown at DuPont’s facility in Orange began on Saturday and would continue until 1 May, DuPont said in a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

The ethylene unit in Orange has a 680,000 tonne/year capacity, according to ICIS plants and projects.

DuPont did not have an immediate comment.

At least four companies have scheduled US ethylene unit turnarounds for April.
