MOSCOW (ICIS)--Nizhnekamskneftekhim (NKNKh) will increase its linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) and high density polyethylene (HDPE) output in 2012, the Russian petrochemical producer said on Tuesday.
Production is expected to reach a total of 230,000 tonnes in 2012, compared with 195,000 tonnes in 2011, the company said.
NKNKh, based in Tatarstan in central Russia, chose LyondellBasell Spherilene technology for its 230,000 tonne/year polyethylene (PE) unit, to produce both LLDPE and HDPE.
The new PE facility had originally been expected on stream in 2007, but production eventually began in 2009.
