S Korea’s LG Chem shuts SBR plant for maintenance until early May

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s LG Chem has shut its 135,000 tonne/year styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) plant in Daesan for two weeks until early May, a company source said on Wednesday.

“We shut down the SBR plant earlier this week on Monday for its annual maintenance and hope to restart in two weeks’ time, the source added.

The company also operates three butadiene rubber (BR) lines with a combined capacity of 180,000 tonnes/year at Daesan in South Korea.
