China’s Jiangsu Sopo brings forward Zhenjiang plant maintenance

MELBOURNE (ICIS)--China’s Jiangsu Sopo Chemical has brought forward the maintenance shutdown of its methanol, acetic acid and ethyl acetate (etac) plants at Zhenjiang in Jiangsu province to 29 April, a company official said on Wednesday.

The starting date of the scheduled maintenance of 15-20 days has been brought forward from 6 May because the company expects to receive delivery of catalyst in the next few days, the official added.

Other etac producers in China include Jiangmen Handsome Chemical Development, Shanghai Wujing Chemical, Shandong Jinyimeng Group and Rizhao Jiahong Biological Technology.
