HOUSTON (ICIS)--US ethanol inventories and production levels came down last week, according to data released by the Energy Information Administration (EIA) on Wednesday.

The drop in production was mostly attributed to thin demand.

Ethanol inventories for the week that ended on 20 April were at 21.9m bbl, down by 100,000 bbl, or 0.5% from 22m bbl a week earlier.

Meanwhile, ethanol production dropped to 865,000 bbl/day, down 19,000 bbl/day or 2% lower than 884,000 bbl/day the previous week.
