SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Asian jet trader China Aviation Oil (CAO) has issued a purchase tender for four 240,000–300,000 bbl cargoes of jet kerosene for end-May and June loading, a company source said on Thursday.
The CAO tender requested cargoes for loading from northeast or southeast Asia on 21–31 May, 1–10 June, 11–20 June and 21–31 June. The cargoes are for purchase FOB (free on board) Asia, the source added.
CAO also requested one 25,000-tonne jet kerosene cargo for purchase CFR (cost & freight) Huangpu for arrival on 6–8 June, via the same tender, said the source.
The CAO purchase tender closed on 26 April and has validity until 27 April.
Previously, CAO awarded a purchase tender for four 240,000–300,000 bbl jet kerosene cargoes for loading at the end of April and in May at a lower level of around Singapore market quotes minus 30–40 cents/bbl FOB Asia.
The sellers were said to be term suppliers, including northeast Asian refiners. This last CAO tender had requested the cargoes for loading from northeast or southeast Asia on 21–30 April, 1–10 May, 11–20 May and 21–31 May.
CAO also recently awarded a purchase tender for 26,000–27,000 tonnes of jet kerosene for 15–20 May arrival at around Singapore market quotes plus $1.30–1.50/bbl CFR Huangpu.
CAO is the largest physical jet fuel trader in the Asia-Pacific region and the key supplier of imported jet fuel to the civil aviation industry in China.
The firm’s key businesses include jet fuel supply and trading, trading of other oil products and investments in oil-related assets.
