Egypt’s EPC restarts caustic soda plant after planned maintenance

LONDON (ICIS)--Caustic soda producer Egyptian Petrochemicals Company (EPC) has restarted its plant in Alexandria, Egypt, after carrying out planned maintenance, a source at the Amriya-based company said on Friday.
“[The plant], just restarted, so we do not have enough to export,” the source said.
EPC’s plant has a nameplate capacity of 120,000 tonnes/year.
