LONDON (ICIS)--European epichlorohydrin (ECH) May contract prices rolled over because of declining feedstock costs, market participants said on Tuesday.
The May contract settled at €1,675-1,700/tonne ($2,200-2,236/tonne) FD (free delivered) NWE (northwest Europe).
“With the small propylene drop [in May], despite our initial intentions to increase prices to improve margins with €50/tonne, we pulled back and have concluded with rollover at the end,” a producer said.
ECH demand is stable or weak, depending on sources. Supply is balanced to long.
($1 = €0.76)
