SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s BASF-YPC (BYC) restarted its 740,000 tonne/year cracker in Nanjing on Wednesday and expects the unit to resume normal operations over the next few days, a company spokesperson said.
The cracker was shut on 16 April for maintenance.
The cracker’s associated downstream units have also begun their “start-up procedures” on Wednesday, the spokesperson said, without elaborating further.
BYC is a joint venture between Germany’s chemicals major BASF and China’s Yangzi Petrochemical.
