HOUSTON (ICIS)--US propylene production in March totalled 794m lb (360,200 tonnes), a 19% drop from 979m lb produced in the same month in 2011, consulting firm Jacobs Consultancy said on Wednesday.
Propylene production in March was steady by volume with 794m lb in February, but when measured on a daily rate output fell by 6.5%, the group said in its monthly Hodson report.
US crackers operated at 86.5% of capacity in March. The figure is down from 89.3% in February and 94.3 % in March 2011, the report showed.
