China’s Shaoxing Sanyuan Petrochemical to restart PP line

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Shaoxing Sanyuan Petrochemical plans to restart its 300,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) line at Shaoxing in eastern China’s Zhejiang province in the week starting 6 May, a company source said on Friday.

The source said the line was shut on 23 April for maintenance but did not provide the exact date for the restart.

Local distributors said the restart is likely to add to the supply of PP in east China as Shaoxing Sanyuan Petrochemical is one of the major PP producers in east China.
