LONDON (ICIS)--The European May styrene customer reference price (CRP) has been settled at €1,355/tonne ($1,783/tonne), up €30/tonne from the previous month, the seller involved confirmed on Friday.
The increase was driven by higher feedstock costs, according to the seller, where a €58/tonne increase for benzene was counterbalanced by a €20/tonne reduction in ethylene for May.
The contract was agreed on a free carrier (FCA) Rotterdam basis. Further confirmation from buyers is pending.
