HOUSTON (ICIS)--BASF set a goal of growing sales in North America by about 5%/year through 2020, the company said on Friday.
BASF will achieve the goal through capital investments, acquisitions and sustainable products, the company said.
Company executives set out the sales goal during a press conference at the company’s new regional headquarters in Florham Park, New Jersey.
In 2011, North American sales grew by 17% in dollars and 11% in euros, to reach €14.7bn ($19.3bn), BASF said.
For the rest of 2012, BASF expects economic growth in North America to slightly exceed levels from prior years.
