SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Aker Solutions on Monday inaugurated its carbon capture facility at Mongstad in ?xml:namespace>
The facility includes a new amine plant which was completed mechanically in June 2011, the Norway-based company said.
The amine unit, designed for a capture capacity of about 80,000 tonnes/year, has been started-up and commissioned, it said without elaborating further.
“After several years of research and development, the capture technology shall now be tested and verified in a large plant,” it added, referring to the amine plant.
