China's Jiangsu Jurong Chemical delays FCC plant start up to Q4 2012

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Jiangsu Jurong Chemical has delayed the start up its new fluid catalytic cracker (FCC) at Taixing to the fourth quarter of this year, a company source said on Monday.
The FCC is expected to produce at least around 150,000 tonnes/year of propylene, which will be supplied to the company’s derivative 160,000 tonne/year acrylic acid plant at the same site.
The FCC was initially slated to come on stream last year but this was postponed to June 2012 because of a lack of heavy crude feedstock, market sources said.
The company source did not provide further details.
