SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Shandong Luxi Chemical achieved 100% of capacity at its 80,000 tonne/year melamine unit at Liaocheng in Shandong province on the weekend of 5-6 May, a company source said on Monday.

“The unit was running at comparatively low capacity after it was started up, and we shut down the unit for several times because of technical issues,” the source said without giving details on when the unit was taken off line last time.

The company shut down its separate 60,000 tonne/year melamine unit at the same site for maintenance inend-April, the source added, without saying when the turnaround began and when it is expected to end.
