TOKYO (ICIS)--Japanese firm ITOCHU Corp said on Tuesday its year-to-March 2012 net profit grew by 87% to yen (Y) 300.5bn ($3.8bn).
Its operating profit for the period increased 6.4% year on year to Y272.6bn, it said in a statement.
The company’s earnings from chemicals, forest products and general merchandise segment increased 33% to Y34.5bn, with gross trading profit from the business rising 27% to Y150.1bn.
