SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) futures decreased slightly, as most buyers and sellers stayed out of the market because of the uncertainty over the global economic outlook, industry sources said on 8 May.

September LLDPE futures, the most actively traded contract on the Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE), closed at yuan (CNY) 10,015/tonne ($1,589.7/tonne) on 8 May, down by CNY20/tonne from the settlement price of CNY10,035/tonne on 7 May, DCE data showed.

Around 1.11m tonnes of LLDPE, or 445,818 contracts, were traded for delivery in September, according to the data.
