Japan’s Tokuyama Corp VCM plant shut on technical problems

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Tokuyama Corp’s 300,000 tonne/year vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) plant in Yamaguchi prefecture is currently shut because of technical problems, a source close to the company said on Tuesday.
The plant was taken off line late last week, the source said, adding that it will take about two weeks before the unit can be restarted.
