HOUSTON (ICIS)--Domestic polyethylene terephthalate (PET) prices in Colombia rolled over to May from April at $2,100-2,200/tonne (€1,617-1,694/tonne) DEL (delivered) because of weak demand, sources said on Tuesday.
Domestic prices in Colombia were also flat from March to April.
Local participants said PET demand was seasonally moderate amid sufficient supply during the ongoing non-peak period for soft drinks. This countered the volatility in feedstock costs, they added.
Domestic production was “normal”, with sufficient supply of feedstock dimethyl terephthalate (DMT), sources said.
