China’s Hangzhou Zhechen Rubber shuts SBR plant for turnaround

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Hangzhou Zhechen Rubber shut its 50,000 tonne/year styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) plant on Wednesday for a turnaround, a company source said.

The shutdown may last for 15-20 days, the source said without specifying the reason for the shutdown.

The company will complete the construction of a separate 50,000 tonne/year SBR plant in October, and it will raise the company’s total annual SBR capacity to 100,000 tonnes/year, the source added.

Hangzhou Zhechen Rubber, which is located at Hangzhou in east China’s Zhejiang province, is the first privately run SBR plant in China.
