MEDELLIN, Colombia (ICIS)--US first-quarter ethylene oxide (EO) production totalled a revised 1.56bn lb (708,000 tonnes), a 2% increase from 1.53bn lb one year earlier, data from the American Fuel and Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM) showed on Wednesday.
EO output in the first quarter was also up by 3% from 1.52bn lb in the fourth quarter of 2011, the group said.
AFPM revised the EO figures because of last minute data submissions and corrections after the first publication of the report, the group said.
AFPM's quarterly data is based on voluntary reports.
