HOUSTON (ICIS)--US ethanol inventories came down, while production rates increased in the first week of May, according to data released by the Energy Information Administration (EIA) on Wednesday.
Ethanol inventories for the week that ended on 4 May were at 21.4m bbl, down by 800,000 bbl or 3.6% from 22.2m bbl a week earlier.
Ethanol production was at 897,000 bbl/day, up by 3,000 bbl or 0.3% from 894,000 bbl/day the previous week.
