China’s Tianhong New Energy starts propylene sales from 10 May

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Tianhong New Energy Petrochemical has started selling propylene from 10 May, a company source said on Thursday.

The company started up its new fluid catalytic cracker (FCC) unit, which can produce 45,000 tonnes/year propylene, in April, the source said, without giving a specific date.

The unit, which is located at Binzhou in Shandong province, can produce 200 tonnes/day of propylene, according to the source.

Tianhong New Energy is selling the propylene mainly to local downstream users in Shandong.
