Japan's Adeka year-to-March 2012 net profit falls 45%

TOKYO (ICIS)--Japan’s Adeka Corp said on Thursday it year-to-March 2012 net profit declined 45% year on year to yen (Y) 3.80bn ($47.5m).

Operating profit for financial year fell 43% year on year to Y8.34bn, while net sales slipped 4.1% to Y170.8bn, the company said in a satement.

Full-year operating profit in the chemicals segment declined 34% to Y7.72bn, with net sales dipping 4.4% to Y117.1bn, partly on high feedstock costs, Adeka said.
