HOUSTON (ICIS)--US ammonia imports in March were down by 10% from February, according to data released by the US International Trade Commission (ITC) on Thursday.
US ammonia imports fell to 522,621 tonnes in March from 583,536 tonnes in February.
Imports fell in March as no ammonia was brought in from Russia, Ukraine or Venezuela.
March imports also fell from 683,610 tonnes in the same month of 2011.
Trinidad and Tobago at 338,972 tonnes was the major source of US ammonia imports, followed by Canada at 96,201 tonnes, Saudi Arabia at 62,400 tonnes and Egypt at 24,729 tonnes.
Other sources included Korea and Japan.
