SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Nan Ya Plastics’ 360,000 tonne/year No 3 monoethylene glycol (MEG) unit in Mailiao, Taiwan, has been shut since 2 May because of "process issues", and will restart this weekend, a company spokesperson said on Friday.
“We need 10 days to review the machinery before restarting,” said David Tsou of the firm’s investor relations department.
The No 3 unit is scheduled to be shut again in early September for annual maintenance, Tsou said.
