LONDON (ICIS)--European May dimethyl terephthalate (DMT) reference prices fell by €9/tonne ($12/tonne) on Friday to €1,037-1,078/tonne, in line with upstream paraxylene (PX), according to an assessment by ICIS.
The European May PX contract settled at €1,210/tonne FD (free delivered) NWE (northwest Europe), down by €15/tonne, after falls in the dominant ?xml:namespace>
The second-quarter contract price for methanol, a secondary feedstock for DMT, is €340/tonne FOB (free on board)
The DMT prices were assessed on a free delivered northwest
($1 = €0.77)
