SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Thailand’s PTT Global Chemical has sold a 5,000 tonnes of paraxylene (PX) for first-half June shipment at lower premiums amid sharp falls in spot outright prices, a source familiar with the matter said on Monday.
The shipment was sold on a free on board (FOB) Map Ta Phut basis at a low double-digit premium to a price that is 50% Asian Contract Price (ACP) and 50% spot CFR (cost and freight) Taiwan quotes, the source said.
PTTGC last sold its May loading PX shipments at premiums of $13-14/tonne (€10-11/tonne) to 50% ACP: 50% spot CFR Taiwan quotes on a FOB Map Ta Phut basis.
