Asia May capro contract settlement down $130-140/tonne from April

BRISBANE (ICIS)--Asia’s May caprolactam (capro) contracts were settled at $2,620-2,630/tonne (€2,044-2,051/tonne), down $130-140/tonne from April amid weak downstream demand, market sources said on Tuesday.

The price is on a cost and freight (CFR) northeast (NE) Asia basis.

The settlement price was $40-70/tonne lower than the offers for May, market sources said.
