China LLDPE futures fall 0.81% on concerns over Greece

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) futures fell by 0.81% on Tuesday on market concerns about the political situation in Greece amid the eurozone debt crisis, industry sources said.

September LLDPE futures, which is the most actively traded contract on the Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE), closed at yuan (CNY) 9,790/tonne ($1,549/tonne) on Tuesday, down by CNY 80/tonne from the settlement price of CNY9,870/tonne on 14 May.

Around 1.46m tonnes of LLDPE, or 586,698 contracts, for delivery in September were traded on Tuesday, according to DCE.
