China’s Xinneng Energy restarts methanol unit in Inner Mongolia

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Xinneng Energy restarted its 600,000 tonne/year methanol unit at Dalad Qi in Inner Mongolia early this week after a month-long maintenance, a company source said on Wednesday.

The company expects the plant to resume normal production in one or two days, the sources said.

Spot methanol prices in Inner Mongolia were assessed at CNY2,530-2,550/tonne ($400-403/tonne) on 11 May, according to Chemease, an ICIS service in China.

Xinneng Energy is a subsidiary of ENN Group.
