EU February chem products trade surplus up by 10.4% - Eurostat

LONDON ICIS--The EU’s chemical products February trade surplus increased by 10.4% year on year, with imports and exports both higher, statistics body Eurostat said on Wednesday.

The February trade surplus for chemicals in the 27-member EU was €17.0bn ($21.5bn), with exports rising by 9% to €42.9bn and imports up by 8% to €25.9bn.

In the 17-member eurozone, the February chemicals trade surplus rose by 13.6% year on year to €19.2bn. Exports increased by 9% to €49.2bn and imports were up by 6% to €29.9bn, Eurostat said.
