China's Hebi Coal eyes on-spec BDO output at new plant on 20 May

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Hebi Coal Group expects to produce on-spec butanediol (BDO) at its 50,000 tonne/year unit in Henan province around 20 May, a company source said on Thursday.

The unit at Hebi city represents the first phase of the company’s 100,000 tonne/year BDO project.

In the second phase of the project, another 50,000 tonne/year unit at the same site will be built, but no definite timeline is set on its construction.

Hebi Coal Group is a subsidiary of Henan Coal Chemical Group.
