HOUSTON (ICIS)--Production continued at Valero’s 142,000 bbl/day Corpus Christi refinery in Texas after a fire hit a butamer unit that was undergoing a turnaround, a spokesman said on Thursday.

Valero spokesman Bill Day said the unit was shut down prior to the fire because of a turnaround.

He said there was no effect on operations.

The fire started on Wednesday, it was put out immediately, and it injured no one.
